My Story
I will be running 10 miles in my hometown, Portsmouth, for Endometriosis South Coast, an inclusive charity set up to support people who haven’t started their diagnosis journey, are going through the diagnosis stages, or have been diagnosed with Endometriosis and/or Adenomyosis.
1 in 10 people suffer from this condition and on average it takes 8 years to be diagnosed!
Having been diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis (It's not known why it happens and there is no cure) it would be great to spread awareness of this painful condition that many women experience. Having had procedures to reduce the pain it doesn't fully take those unexpected shooting pains away, which sometimes causes tears. By supporting this charity it will help spread the word so diagnosis can be made sooner and increase the resources and support available to sufferers.
I know I run already but very rarely more than 10k, so any donation and cheers on the day would be gratefully received - Thank you! :-).
