Great South Run in memory of Ace Rewcastle

My Story

I am running the great south run in loving memory of Ace Rewcastle who sadly passed away earlier this year from acute myeloid leukaemia after falling ill on holiday. Unfortunately, this is more common than you may think. There are around 3,100 new acute myeloid leukaemia cases in the UK every year, that's more than 8 every day.

This is why I have decided to raise money for cancer research who undertake crucial research in the prevention and treatment of leukaemia and cancer in general. I am sure anyone reading this would have sadly been affected in some way by cancer whether it be personally or a loved one.

Ace's Mum, Amber is currently raising money to donate to the Piam Brown children's leukaemia ward at Southampton Hospital in Ace's memory. I am hoping to donate half of what is raised to this ward as this is where Ace would have received his treatment in the UK.

I am not a the best runner and much prefer sitting on my backside so this will be a real challenge for me but I hope to raise as much as possible in Aces memory xx
